Flooding Can Happen Anywhere | SERVPRO of Corpus Christi East

4/19/2021 (Permalink)

Cities all across America experience flooding to some extent. According to the National Weather Service, common sources of floods include:

  • Flash Flooding
  • River Flooding
  • Storm Surge and Coastal Inundation from Tropical and Non-Tropical Systems
  • Burn Scars/Debris Flows
  • Ice/Debris Jams
  • Snowmelt
  • Dry Wash
  • Dam Breaks/Levee Failure

Although Corpus Christi is not known to experience heavy snow, residents often travel to where it does snow and should be wary of the potential flooding impacts. On the contrary, Corpus Christi residents do experience large amounts of rainfall, flash flooding, river flooding, and systems.

After a flood, you should tune in to your local news for updates and pertinent information. Always avoid floodwater and any damage such as fallen trees. Be sure to contact loved ones that might have also been affected by the flood to make sure they are fine.

If your home or business experiences a flood, SERVPRO of Corpus Christi East can assist! We can get your back to your preloss condition in no time. We help make it “Like it never even happened.”
